Emotion Coaching is a 60 minute session that focuses on empowering parents and caregivers to integrate emotion coaching strategies into everyday activities with their youth. Through various games, activities, and discussions participants will deepen their understanding of the emotional needs of their youth and practice various techniques to help them identify and manage their emotions.
This session is the second of a four-part series that equips parents with tools and strategies to implement Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) into their daily lives at home, helping support their youth’s emotional growth and confidence through play. The series follows UI’s coach methodology by exploring ways to help kids feel safe, then build skills, and eventually to foster independence.
