Scaffolding Learning is a 60 minute session that focuses on how to build skills by scaffolding game play to accommodate accessibility or to add challenge. Through various games, activities, and discussions participants will practice adapting to various levels of difficulty, gaining an experience and understanding of how scaffolding helps support skill development and boosts self confidence in their youth at home.
This session is the third of a four-part series that equips parents with tools and strategies to implement Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) into their daily lives at home, helping support their youth’s emotional growth and confidence through play. The series follows UI’s coach methodology by exploring ways to help kids feel safe, then build skills, and eventually to foster independence.
