The Impact of Covid and Community Violence on Youth is a 60 minute session that focuses on examining the impact of traumas like community violence and the Covid-19 pandemic on both youth and adults. Through various activities and discussions participants will develop a deeper understanding of stress, its causes, and its effects on the brain and behavior. They will also recognize the power of connection and care in managing stress for themselves and their families.

This session is the first in a two-part series that equips parents with a deeper understanding of the impact of stress and trauma on youth while learning practical tools to foster healing through connection, care, and play.
